Welcome to the

Diocese of Norwich

The Diocese of Norwich is the Church of England in Norfolk and Waveney.

We are a family of 650 churches and 108 schools serving 550 parishes in 20 Deaneries in a region known for its wide skies, agriculture, heritage, coastline and the Broads.
We cover most of Norfolk and the Waveney part of Suffolk.

Our Vision

Jesus said “I came that they may have life, and have it abundantly” (John 10.10) Our Vision is about how we live our life together, for the flourishing of every person in every place. Transformed by Christ: prayerful, pastoral and prophetic.

Our Churches

Churches of note include Norwich Cathedral, Great Yarmouth Minster, Kings Lynn Minster and Wymondham Abbey. There are many more to visit or join. The most important part of our churches are the people who serve in them.

Our Schools

More than quarter of all young people in this area attend Church of England schools. The schools are united in their approach to education which is rooted in Christian values. We have two multi academy trusts and a school chaplaincy project.
